It appears to have a 4wd light hanging out, and the front tail shaft suggests a 1.0 litre. But could be anything, and could be modified. |

everything can be made to fit, you just need the right asessories. to fit a light case in an 81 you would need to use custom driveshafts with frankenstien unis, but it would work. |

Well that is not exactly right, to fit a 1300 case (all of which have a light switch) yes you would need to mod the uni's or fit it with 1 litre light switch case flanges which have the same internal spline as a 1300. But a 1 litre light switch case will go straight into an 81 without mods as it already has the 1 litre flange bolt pattern. Either way this case will be fine for his LWB or his coily, if it is a 1300 then thats great, if it is a light switch 1 litre then its a bonus due to lower gearing.. |

Only a Type 2 (metal dash) case with switch has the same flange bolt pattern as the early 1.0lt, but a Type 3 (plastic dash) case with switch has the same flange pattern as a NT 1.3. |

Yes but a type 2 or type 3 has same spline as 1300 therefore type 2 or 3 can be used in anything without a hybrid uni mod. i.e. type 1 can replace type 2 with no mods (but you wont have a 4x4 light ) type 1 will go into anything with a hybrid uni mod type 2 can replace type 1, no mods type 2 can replace type 3 or 1300 with flange replacement type 3 can replace type 1 or 2 or 1300 with a flange replacement. |
