| Post subject: | another tyre qusetion |
g'day all My name is jeremy. I have a hardtop 93 WT. It has:50mm snake racing shackles 2'' dobinsons leaves (soon to have- 50mm body lift) Now i was asking wat would be the best sized tyre? (width and height) I already know i want muddies but not sure wat size will be the best for this application, the best for flex and also that will fill the guards well-with minimal scrubbage.. cheers |

i've got 31x10s on my WT but thats with a 75mm lift and 30mm higher springs i don't have scrubbing problems but you might need to hammer down the lip just in the guards |

a zook dosen't look right with anything less than 30s i just remembered that the front bumper mounts had to be cut off to fit the tyres yeah it flexs alright it still bottoms out on the bumpstops but i've only got shit springs at the moment you can get a ramp under one of the front wheels and the opposite back one but i think thats pretty standard |

Suzy (bluesuzy) has 33 with 2inch spring and a 2inch BL but i think he did a bit of work inside the guards i have 1inch spring and 3inch BL and the lip inside the guard had to be "massaged" |

if the 33's fit with a bit of guard reconstruction you might find that the 32's will still hit without persuading the guard to get the hell out of there |

the monoform 32x10.5 would be best, if you move your front diff forward you'd have less of a chance of them rubbing |

and to move the diff forward you jus re-drill the hole on the u-bolt plate ay? |

the 32" mongrels really only measure 31". I ran them with 2" springs and 2" BL without moving the diff forward. All that was needed was a bit of hammering in the guards. When i went to 32" BFG muddies which actually measure 32", i had to move the front diff 1" forward and do a bit more guard massaging |

you need to redrill the sring mount on the diff too, if you want a bit of lift and some more flex stick some rear springs in the front this will help with moving the diff too |
