As some of you may know, I blew my engine up last week on the Stockton dunes.
Anyway, i'm dropping in a secondhand engine. I've pulled mine out and I'm taking the secondhand one down to my car tonight to swap the accessories over, but i'm wondering if there is possibly anything I may have missed or suggestions on what else I should consider. I would've loved to have put a new head gasket on it and got everything checked over, but just don't have the time as I need it back on the road ASAP.
The following is all new:
Water pump
Timing belt kit
Spark plugs
Leads
Inlet and exhaust gaskets
Rear main seal
Clutch
Flywheel machine
The dizzy cap, button, thermostat and radiator are only a few months old (3??).
I'm going to run some cheap oil through it for a week or so, then flush it out with a wynns product or similar then fill it back up with something good. Same with the radiator.

My battery was/is good and I only had taken it out on Tuesday night. It's been sitting up off the concrete so hopefully it'll crank ok. Got jumper cables incase.
Hoping the engine isn't too bad.

I was hoping to do the heater hoses aswell, but I need it back on the road.
I also am going to put new belts on the front too sometime next week.

Before you through it in, if you can do a leak down and compression test. That should give you a good indication of how worn the internals are
