Thanks. Would 15x5.5 with -0 offset be best to go for. I got 16s atm and am getting new rims not genuine.(standard)

what i meant was save your money and just run the stock rims =)
if you're going to go up in tyre size past a 235/75r15 then look at 15x7 with a -15 or so offset down the track.
to give you a guide, im running 15x7-38 rims with 31x10.5r15 (previous to that i ran 15x7-15 rims and 31s).

I mainly wanna keep size down. Got defected with 265/75 on the 16s so taking them off and putting something alot closer to stock size.
Don't just want to get tyres as keeping 16s for wheeling. I am able to get wheels quite cheap. Plus they flash new ones

From memory and what I have heard about QLD, even 215/75 on a Sierra is enough for a defect, technically speaking. If you need to get it over the pits to get the defect removed, you'll probably have to go back to stock (205/70/15)

All I got was a yellow fine no sticker on window or anything. This is first defect iv had so dunno what to do. Was told to get it fixed in a month wasn't told to go to transport...
Just planning on paying fine and putting tyres back on close to stock size. Mainly wanted to know offset. I should get 15x5.5 with 0 offset??? Sound right???

I imagine You have a month to fix the defect then you have to take your car to transports for them to see if you fixed it. But could be just a defect on the spot. If it doesn't say you need to take it over the pits then just pay the fine and be done with it.

Mate just wondering what were the circumstances for the defect, this info can help others on the site.
where abouts in Brisbane?
was it police or qld transport?
did they pull you over for the wheels or for something else first?
what 16" wheels do you have on your sierra ?
do they stick out past the guards?
do they have any tread?
is your car clean or a rusty dunga that attracts attention?
can you post a pic of what the wheels and tyres look like on your car?
Thanks

80% tread on tyres...
I have pic in gallery only frt on though. They are suzuki alloys. Car was clean not even muddy. I was in left lane doing 95 just before weigh bridge at narangbar. Blue highway patrol car parked centre median strip and as soon as I went past started Rollin after me.
I have custom bar and roof light spotties prob made it look bigger. Tyres sit just in guards by 5-10 mm. I was not rude or dick to them so guess they went easy.

The cop must have been having a bad day because your rig looks nice and neat and if it is the wheels and tyres in the video they don't look overly big. Did he look at the tyre placard on your car or did he already know they come with 15' rims and 205 tyres.

Damn, actually that said I had some cops going slow yesterday and had to pass them, I hadn't aired up after wheeling either. They definitely checked my plate, then they just did a u turn and headed the other way...
I guess the mule doesn't look too loose, I suppose it shouldn't though, I've not changed anything cosmetically since I bought it, and it had a roadworthy
