Not sure on the years they made the 4AGE but if the engine is older than the car your putting it into your gonna have issues

Put in a later model SR20DET and 4 spd auto. They pop up from time to time. Will probably cost about the same as well.

Why stop there what about an injected 302 Windsor and 2 spd poweglide :P

Really? I can get a 20v cut for $1200. An SR20DET without loom or ecu is about $1800 (S13) , $2400 (S14), $3700 (S15). SR front cuts are 2-3 times the price of a 4age cut. :?

And I do realise your comments were made in jest, but how well do you suppose a jimny driveline would hold up to a 4AGE? An SR20 would see a shower of transfers and diffs sprinkled all over the road.

there again, unless its a Grand vitara j20, its gonna be older than the car and thus illegal.

plus why turbo!!. the J20 on its own would be plenty of power

what year jimny?

think about the g16 if its a g13 now.

or the m15 or m16 or m18 if is an m13 now.

doesnt need to be a super powerful motor to make a small car nicer to drive

Mate the problem you have is that you have a vehicle with a relatively weak driveline so powerups mean breakages unless you upgrade the rest.

Just go find a steep enough hill and you will make it wheel stand momentarily before it tips over backward.

It's possible. Anythings possible, depends how much cash you want to throw at it. ;)

I pulled up at the lights last night next to a bloke in a holden drover, had about a 4" lift on it, so my Vit was bigger (always feels good, lol).

Anyway he looked across gave me the nod and I'm like "ohh bugger it why not?""How fast could this thing be?". Next thing lights go green and it just absolutely flew, squatted right down on the rear drivers side wheel and was just lifting the passenger side front wheel.

I asked him what it had in it, and he said, same motor that was in mine (G16B), just turbo'd.

Couldn't believe it, so now im looking around again for a broken g16b so I can turbo it.

So do something fun, spend the cash and turbo it ;)

Cheers

Matty
