hey just have stock tyres on the jimny, 205/70/15
what would be the next size up and how much extra height does that add? does this void my warranty and does this put my fuel bill up, thanks in anticipation?!

I've been told if voids warranty but mine got fixed under warranty yesterday and I have heaps of mods 
I haven't noticed much difference in fuel consumption |

yup next size is 215/75/r15 they re 2" taller, so your car would end up 1" taller and more clearance too 
i didnt really feel any big change in fuel or handling, just a bit |

it is still wheelable with 235s. low range isnt really low any more. but a trasnfer swap isnt really alot of $$$ to do.. |

but a trasnfer swap isnt really alot of $$$ to do..  um....if you have the older model jimny, NON-VVT jimny, it's not that much, but if you have the VVT jimny, it's going to be +$1000 to gear a VVT jim

You would also save a lot of $$$ changing the case, cause of all the clutch, brake and fuel... Not to mention being able to go slower then 20km/h in low range offroad.... so would be able to have the ability to do less damge 4wding. So even that $1000 would'nt sound like much after you start braking things. My opinion anyway. The sierra case was one of the first things I start organizing to build. (Of course then when I got my lift and tyres, I shoved it straight in) Nothing broken yet, and run twin lockers.. I ran 235's, 30's and 31's on the sierra case with 4.16 gears. I dont know if it's worth it with 215's? |
