Was just having a brain storm the other day, Is the Gearing in a Sierra Gear Box / Transfer better than the gearing in a Vitara Gearbox / Transfer???.

Im running 31's under my Vit atm and as everyone knows the 1.6L G16b isn't a powerhouse to turn those bad boys.

gearbox is the same, transfer runs lower transfer gears

you cant change gearbox ratios, you can get reduction for the transfer

IMO gearing is more important than power.

Sierra tcase behind yours or a auto box is the cheapest way. my car turned them no problem because of the auto

The biggest difference between sierra and but transfers is the high range. Vit cases have 1:1 high range, but sierra cases have a reduction in high range. AND the reduction is greater with aftermarket gears.
