open stocker diff center $50 to buy from your mate, could be lots more from a Suzishop place.

autolocker, approx $400? plus installation. I would rather avoid having an auto locker in the rear because they can be annoying if you do lots of road driving.

airlocker would be the best one if you have the money, approx $800 second hand (rare to find one second hand anyway, they last for ever so people hold on to them.), or up to $1200? new, plus air compressor $300?

Post subject:  Re: what diff??

wouldn't it be better than an open diff though?

Author:  Zook_Fan [ Tue Jul 15, 2008 1:18 am ]
Post subject:  Re: what diff??

yes and no if you later decide that you want to lock it up you would have to buy a new housing again. but yeah good for the time being

whats the point of a forum if your not allowed to ask questions

Post subject:  Re: what diff??

yeah they yell at you for making a new topic and just get told to search. But yeah i understand putting the lsd centre in and it would be a good idea in theory but i just dont think it would be the best option when it would be rather hard to find one and put it in. LSD can some times be limiting as well

can get lsd's from japan, quite expensive though. they are a good thing, but never heard of suzuki australia offering an lsd in a coily.

Post subject:  Re: what diff??

Post subject:  Re: what diff??

i thought lsd opened back up when one wheel is in the air because they need friction to work. that would be no good for a sierra, you spend half your day with a wheel up :)

is that right?

Author:  Zook_Fan [ Wed Jul 16, 2008 1:40 am ]
Post subject:  Re: what diff??

the idea of a lsd is to stop spinning of wheels without traction and yes brett it is correct in saying when a wheel lifts they open and are no different. LSD might be a very good improvement for mud and sand but dont bother if your going for rock or you will always just have an open centre anyways (pretty much)
