It's not a case of whatever mate.... That leads to possible warped/cracked heads or blown headgaskets... Start from the inside, cross to diagonal bolts and work your way out. Should have 3 torque settings to tighten up in sequence. Start by placing the bolts, then do them up finger tight then do the sequence with your torque wrench. Eg: 10 4 2 6 8 7 5 1 3 9 |

Eg: 10 4 2 6 8 7 5 1 3 9 by saying 'whatever' I didn't mean do whatever, I clearly meant, all other similar possible sequences like the one you stated etc.... I don't think there is anyone on this forum that would be dumb enough to think they can do whatever bolts up in stupid sequences. |

I dunno, but I was pretty sure you said something similar about head bolts tensions a while back, hence my conclusion...... Edit found it from your build thread: shane1992 wrote: Quick question, how much do you tourque the head bolts up to? They are allen key bolts to by the way... Do I just do it farking tight? Couldnt find the answer in the manual.....
Having troubles with the cam at the moment though.... |
