I have installed a g16a into my 89 Sierra I have just started wiring it up and I am trying to figure out what to do with the plug that comes off the carby as they are different I have searched but havnt found any relevant info If you have any links or knowledge it would be appreciated Thanks in advance

I did this one about a month ago. On the Sierra there is a ground, a power wire when the ignition is on and i think an idle up wire. The 16a needs power when the ignition is on for the idle cutoff solenoid(the small one to the rear) and the bowl vent(larger on on the front). Just trace the wires from the solidoids and connect them to the ignition wire. The 16a also has a microswitch on the throttle that closes at idle, I think the normal arrangment has the idle cutoff solenoid operated by this. |
