Could incorrect valve clearances course backfiring at idle?
The car backfires quite alot at idle, I'm getting a new exhaust put on it on Monday and I don't want it to blow my new muffler apart.

could be need retarding i reckon. it doesnt backfiring accelerating or decel?
only if it sits there and idles for a bit.

Can't really tell cos my taco doesn't work :wink: :cry: But to me it sounds like it has more rpm then the usuall idle rpm

have u cheacked all of your spark plugs make sure there working

if its ok in all but idle check your mixture is right, your plugs are clean and your leads are good

So I think it was just dirty plugs,
No. 3 lead fell of and it start back firing then until I put it back on.
Now I just got to fix high idle and rpm taco :cry:
