How do I extend the handbrake cable?

Hi guys,

Tonight I flexed up the rear of the car and noticed that the drivers side rear wheel was off the ground, I thought it was wierd considering it didnt look like the rear was flexing much.

So I checked it and the handbrake cable (I'm assuming thats what it is). Was pulled to its maximum length, it was defiently holding the wheel off the ground!

How do I fix it?

I did a little bit of bracketometry & made up extension tabs for the mounts on the arms & repositioned the hand brake cable in it's clamps where it mounts to the chassis moving all the slack out, you'll still end up stretching the cables a bit but it's pretty easy to adjust the hand brake.

Will try & find some pics.

My disc rear conversion also repositioned the cables,
to a better place with more slack.
So yeah, just try new mount points.

it's literally a small section of thin flat bar with 2 holes & a small bend. :wink:
