Post subject:  Rear gearbox seal.

Hey guys, gotta change the rear gear box seal in my 85 drove, any idea whats the easiest way? I got no idea about cars really... slowly learning on my nugget of a car seeing I'm having a shitload of problems with it...

Post subject:  Re: Rear gearbox seal.

Dump the gearbox oil. Take out the jack shaft. Use a seal pick to remove the old one. Spray the area with brake clean or shelite to remove gunk. Wipe and re-fit new seal. Replace jack shaft and re-fill box.

All of this is made infinately easier if you have access to a hoist :wink:

Well I skipped over that step, cos the last half dozen seal I've bought were genuine, and come pre-lubed :wink:
