So I'm throwing some 235 70 r16s on my gv and want to keep the guard to tire gap still, now I only go offroad up the beach and some mountainy terrain for camping trips and stuff never under full flex or climbing conditions etc, maybe once a year for Lols,
Now I just wanna throw in the 15mm front and 30mm rear spring spacers just to keep the car nicely above the new tires. Will this be ok for now? I would like to keep it long term like this but if there are some foreseen problems can you please fill me in and help me decide on future plans etc

You can get a 40mm spring lift with new struts and shocks for about $800. will look and drive alot nicer than it would keeping the saggy stock suspension. Plus spacers are illegal.

Illegal isn't an issue for me, yeah $800 isn't something I want to spend just yet, but I'm not spending 800 on standard tyres when I can get bigger and better for not much more.
I like the spring lifts and I will probably get one within 6 Months but for now?

illegal should be an issuse with spacers on, they can defect your can and impound it. seen it done 2 weeks ago in my work site. dept of transport defected the cars and the cops stood there till a tow truck cam and took the 4x4 away. bloke had to catch a taxi to work

I would like to see in the legislation where the police have the power to confiscate defective vehicles

If yours is a 2 door then the stock suspension from a 4 door is said to raise it an inch.
The tyres you are wanting to get will fit without any lift. Fit them and when you have the money them get the coil lift. dont waste your time on a spacer lift. You will be amazed at the difference in handeling when a decent spring lift is installed.
