Might sound like a silly question, but has anyone had the round cover off the rear roof mounted speakers in a GV?

I cant work out if it just unclips with a bit of force or if there is a trick?
I get it so far but i feel it will snap, i need to look at the wires on one because i think its loose.

Just looked at mine again, and the its not exactly a twist, it has what you would call twist tabs but theyre already inline and cant twist because of the other plugs that once pope those they wont go back in.

This is where it sits, so its doesnt need a twist. but once i pop the other tabs they wont go back in and it surely wont twist to hold it back up because its an oval shape and already sitting in the stock position where as if i twist it to hold it up it wont be in position?

And the tabs, which going by your pics there is 2 of these.

Nothing has broken off its just a bit of glue they used from factory to stop them from vibrating out.

So once twisted back on it still fits the oval surround ok? If it was round i could understand it fitting properly, mine have never been taken off because the tabs / glued bits are still intact. But even still in its original position the twist tabs are not holding it up because theyre inline with the gap as my first picture.
Ok so'll have to bust them to get it off, and if it doesnt go back properly i'll glue it up

you didnt mix them up side to side?

They slip in & twist to lock - and once twisted the round pegs slip into holes that prevent them from being twisted back to the open position - so by the time most people figure out how to get them out, the roof liner has been torn right where the grooves are when the grille is in the lock position.

At that point hot melt glue works well.

I havent pulled them off, theyve never been taken off because there is no way they have because the tabs will break off if you try. but if i do pull and break the tabs off, there is no way that i can see that they will twist back in.

Its an oval shape set into and oval shape recess, now call me silly but only a circle shape will spin in a circle recess :?
It doesnt have to spin far for the twist tab will gip but i can see how, so i'll just pull it off and glue it back on.

I only need to check the wires, because i think its loose.

Look again - the outer edge of the grille is oval - there is an inner circular lip where the mounting tabs are and the hole in the headlining is circular with notches for the mounting tabs - also you won't break the tabs on the grille, you'll end up tearing the edge of the headliner.
