Hey guys just need to know if i can use the head and manifolds from a standard 1.3L to place on a g16b block, does that work, if so do i need to make any modifications or can i just place it straight back in.

Sorry if it seems like a silly question, i did try seaech but couldnt find the answer i was looking for, thanks in advance

Short answer is yes, but it won't be optimal.

The G16B is a 16V head, so the piston crowns will have 4 flycuts for valve clearance. You will need to install G16A pistons, which have the correct flycut position for an 8V head.

The 1.3lt 8V head has smaller inlet valves and ports compared to the G16A 8V head, and both flow less than the G16B 16V head.

The G16B with it's proper 16V head will be the best combo. Is there a mechnical reason not to use that head with the block, or are you just trying to avoid wiring Efi?

Nicbeer once sent me a picture of a jimny g13bb carbi intake manifold. They exist. From memory the early 16v 1.6l in swifts where throttlebody injected, might have to rerout the water plumbing but they would work too
