Just curious, would an early model Grand Vitara rear bumper fit a 88-96 LWB Vit.

And could an aftermarket cargo barrier be able to adapted to fit?

bumper - no, it's way to rounded to suit, let alone fit

barrier - maybe with some work, but again the inside of the GV is heaps "rounder" & a different shape

Cheers guys, just curious thats all.

One thing I do know is that the front door windows do fit.

but for a laugh laugh a new GV bumper is $600+ freight
There's a cargo barrier for $50, I'll add it to the ebay thread

I'd say NO & NO.

The early (98~05) GV is not only a different shape body but its quite a bit wider than a LWB Vit, it's even wider than the SV series - what you guys seem to call the wide track Vitara wagons.
