How do I get it off, it seems impossible.

If you've got pics of how to do it that'd be awesome.

Thanks

Hayden

I've done it 6 times in the last 2 days. Its an annoying little shit, but now I'm a friggin pro    .

I'm guessing you mean the lever from the cable.

- Unbolt the lever from the body (2 bolts).
- Hold the cable, then twist the whole handle assembly until it unscrews the cable out of its own arse.
- hold the cable surround back out of the handle assembly, and try to knock that slotted pin out.
- Once the done move the handle to the fully "up"/"on" position, and you'll have another little pin to tap out.
- Wallah! the POS it disconnected Armsup . Now wait till you have the endless joy of reconnecting it and the speedo cable!

I didn't realize you had to unscrew the cable sheath.

Back to loving how easy this thing is to work on! Armsup

Cool! :)

First time I did it, was the middle of winter, night time, camping at a 4wd park. I was trying to change a transfer mount that had broken. I was wearing about 14 jumpers, but had to forgo the gloves to work on the car. I cursed and sweared at that friggin thing so much, I was tempted to just cut the bloody handbrake cable in 2, and deal with no hand brake the next day. But once you figure how its done, its not that bad.....

The first time I did it was on a awesome spring day in the comfort of my carpeted shed. :P

I did consider setting my car on fire for several days beforehand though.
