Post subject:  Jimny lean??
:helloo:

My jimny has a bit of a lean...well a 30mm lean, over to the drivers side :? . I can not figure out what is causing this, the front springs got replaced 2 weeks, with 80mm Tough dog HD coils (+30mm coils spacers in the front) and the rear has tough dog 80mm lifted coils to.

It has been this way for about 3-4 months now, and i can not find any reason for the "lean", i have checked the coils towers and they all seem straighten and UN-damged.

Could the rear drivers side coil be sagged even though it hardly has weight on it? If the panhard rods, were slightly out of adjustment would this cause issues?

It's pissing me off, so any one have any idea's whats causing this?

Easy, don't jump jimnys and don't eat so many burgers ;)

Sorry mate that's all I got...I'm sure the sierra boys will jump in as they to can suffer from the dreaded sideways lean.

I would say dodgey springs. Possibly wrong rate on one?
Obviously you have checked that the drivers side spring and passenger side spring are right way around?

This was pre jumped days :lol: and I only weigh 70kg :roll:

The springs are the right way round, I even tried different springs in the rear to see if it was the springs....it was not, it still leans over.

I had the same problem with my Vitara, so I added a spring spacer to just the rear drivers side.

Hey Monkey,

Have you got your rear springs on the right side??
My 60mm TD were different lengths (about 15mm) and marked R for right and L for left from memory.

Yep there are in the right way, long spring goes on the drivers side.

If i don;t have one pan hard rod centered right, could that cause some of the lean? The front springs are running on a bit of angle, so much of a angle the drivers side fowls on the chassis when flexing :lol:.

Hey monkey do you still have your lean.
Mine is very noticeable. Everything seems to be fine, springs etc.
Mine only got the lean after I installed the arms which is quite weird.
I cannot figure it out, I have no idea what it could be.

Yep still got it :(

Close to 30mm on the drivers side, but it I put the drivers side td coil in with a stock front in the rear on the passenger side, the lean goes away :lol:

So yours is 30mm higher on drivers side?

Same as mine. What I don't get is that it was perfect before the arms went in :?
