Don't make the suspension bush ones unless its a race car. The vibrations are terrible!

I ran 2x VL mounts in my ute and cained the ass off the G16B, and never had a drama. You won't break one.

I have bush mounts in my daily and I can confirm the vibrations are a PITA. Good for finding rattles though

OK so I guess it is the R30 mount (6cyl) - Which way do you use it with the cradle side to side or fore and aft?

The metal bit goes wider bit to top and skinny to bottom from memory.

Grind of the locating pin.

Is that the only mod required for the mount to fit?

RB30DE mount

RB30E. RB30DE doesnt exist (except if custom made with a RBxxDExx head and RB30E/ET block)

Being in the states I am wondering if we have a comparable mount here. Always looking for something better than the stock mount

These are fairly hard to find these days and they commonly fail from being soaked in oil for years or one too many roll backs!

I don't think so. Its an 87 model. Probably would have fallen under the GMC/ chevy banner, but I don't think Holden GMH was sending commodores to the USA back then. You guys were all still hooked on the V8's

Our r31's are square but the VL's were a Holden that used the RB30 because the 5L V8 didnt meet the new emissions or something.

Commonly used by the bogans to do skids.
