Hi guys
Took me zook for a drive on the W/E I had this problem for a while now just throwing it out there to see if anyone has has the same problem, when I first start my car on cold start, and drive it around it fine as soon as it warms up. Whenever you go to take off or roll down a hill and accelerate out of a corner it's had a weird hesitation ( dead spot) stuffed around with the timing but still got me puzzled!
Probably carby related. I'd probably look at the accelerator pump first. It's supposed to spray a small amount of fuel down the throat of the carby when you first depress the accelerator to richer up the mixture which may explain the hesitation. The rubber boot around it wears out.
To check you can take the hat off the carby and when you open the throttle you should see/hear a squirt of fuel. Car doesn't need to be running.
I have the same sort of problem mine does that and also when slowing down for an intersection push the clutch in to go down gears it just dies then i start and idles fine got me stuffed..
