I've just blown a headlight bulb in my sierra and wanted to know if its safe to replace both bulbs with some H4 60/55W bulbs. The manual says the stock ones are 45/40W but I can't find them in any shops.

Aren't they a sealed beam? You could replace the whole unit with one that will take an H4 and then fit one of these...

you can fit 55/60w but they arent the normal p43t base, they are p45t from memory

http://www.google.com.au/search?q=p45t+ ... 66&bih=639

would pay to pull one out and take it in with you to compare

Any automotive store you can just buy them off the shelf like supercheap(online also), They sell them in servo's too because its a common generic part.

If you didnt know, Dont touch the glass on the new ones. The oil from your skin will break down the glass and your new globe will prematurely blow.

I dont know of anywhere good but Narva do make a bulb

If you can get normal P43T base easy enough (you should as its the common one) Dank sells a nice replacement housing that isnt too dear even with postage you can swap in, his details are in teh Business Directory
