Will a vitara clutched engine fan (viscous fan) fit strait on a 1.3 sierra engine and is there much modification to make it fit advantages and disadvantages plz |

Someone like gwagon will be able to fill you in. But I believe it will fit and that you can use the shroud. And its win win. |

Yes and sort of. It is a 100% bolt on. It might brush your fan shroud, so you might want to modify the shroud a little. I've only ever fitted them to non-1.3 sierras (1.6's and 660) but I reckon with a 1.3 it might actually just clear the shroud with no mods. It's the single biggest cooling upgrade you can do to a sierra. It's such a cheap, easy and effective modification. Steve |

I am looking at doing the el alternator upgrade this weekend along with a vitara fan and maby a thermo |

A bit of heat, maybe a strip of thin aluminum to open it up a bit- whatever works. Just don't cut the shroud away, it defeats the purpose. Steve. |

I went to the wreackers today and picked up a Jimmy engine fan it is a viscous fan that has seven blades and is just smaller than the vitara one by mm and fits strait on with no cutting of the shroud looks Really good and goes good |

Al tho the vit hub last's longer, but the difference will be very noticeable...
