Hi Guys, About to do the g16 swap into my sierra, I'm currently running factory air con and just want to know if I'm wrong to assume that the compressor will bolt up to the 1.6?? Cheers |

Is your g13b multiv? Is your g16b multiv? It may boltup, but the pulleys may differ! On mine im going to run a jimny compressor(multiv) with adaptor hoses to the sierra firewall/ac box.. |

Yes your AC pump bracket will bolt directly to the G16B. But as BlueSuzy says, they pulleys are different. Sierra AC has a V pulley, G16B block has a ribbed pulley. You'll need to change the AC pulley to suit. |

my sierra bracket had 3 mounting points, one on the front of the motor and 2 on the side, the top side mount was out by about 25mm. if ya dont think matfan is a fuckwit then ya should check out his old posts. |

Cheers guys, well hopefully it'll go on easily, if not I guess I'll have to make some sort of adapter out of matchsticks and clag glue. Oh and I second sheps comment, I just had a bit of a read through some of my old posts.... I really am a fuckwit! |

Come to think of it, the clutch on the a/c compressor is a little bit dodge at the moment, I wonder if I could replace the whole clutch/pulley assembly with a multiV...... |

Ahh, I see... Shep, didn't you have a different compressor though? Maybe a different bracket as well? My bracket also has three holes, they all lined up perfectly. Mat, one of these might work. |

Cheers for that, I guess I can save my matchsticks and clag glue for the exo build! |
