Just finished putting in my gears on the weekend. but when i took the drivers side mount out it look as if it is slightly twisted along the mount side. should this be flat?

yes should be flat. it's quite common for them to twist, expect it even more now you've got gears. either get a new one and reinforce the hell out of it, or a better idea is to make your own beefed up one out of some heavy angle.

I think I have an old standard one here. PM me if you want it, im in d'bay.

i twisted the long mount yesterday too. and had to take out my rear driveshaft to drive home after a mishap. get some awesome vibrations in the front shaft speeding up to 20.
