New question (I hate Auto electrics) on the five speed box I have fitted there are 2 plugs each with 2 wires ALL Black - One is Open when in gear and closed when in Neutral so I guess the later models had a neutral light? The other does nothing but when I take it out of the box and push the ball very hard it opens and closes so I guess this is the reverse light switch and needs replacing? Have I got it right or is there more white-man's magic involved? OK - I have a Swift distributor and the 2 wires are Black with white stripe and Brown In my Sierra manuals they are Black and Yellow so can anyone yell me if the black with white stripe is still the negative please? |

So I can just ignore the WMM (EGR) switch and just use the Reverse switch |

The only switch you really need to connect is the reverse which from memory is one red and one yellow wire. The reverse switch is at the top, front of the gearbox and points towards the passenger side upper door hinge. |

Yes the front one is the reverse but the other defiantly is off in all gears and on in neutral - Do any models have a neutral light like an ATV? |
