year all hooked up, put a test light on all wires i could see and they seem to be geting power. i will run a few more checks around the coil tommorrow and see what happens. thanks all.
the car was in the shed for about 12 months so it may be a dodgy conection.

mine needed a resistor/transistor/modulartronic device put between the tacho and the cable for it to get a reading... im using the g13bb computer and head, but its a similar setup isnt it?
Suzistore have since worked out how to do it also, maybe see if you can buy the little sucker off them to install?

Do you have more info on the modulatronic device? I've got the same issue using the GTi ECU. I attach the tacho wire and the engine dies.

no more info im afraid - a place near my house called "Applied Instruments" got mine working for $80... all i know is they pulled the cluster out and fitted a whatsydoover to convert the signal.
Suzistore then sent a few conversions there and analysed what was done so now they can do it in house themselves.
