Hiya gents, Having a look at the FSM today and has got me wondering again what some of the bits and bobs are. What is Sealant "A": 99000-3110? Is it just some silicone sealant? |

Just a form of silicone sealer.. Loctite 5999 is a direct replacement for Suzuki A/B sealants ive been told by a Suzuki bike mechanic. Im pretty sure that's the specified replacement for Honda bond as well. |

might be of help... http://www.redlinegti.com/forum/viewtop ... f=7&t=4311 snip Quote: I have been told that the equivalent is:
Loctite 599 RTV Silicone Sealant... also known as "ULTRA GRAY" or "PERMATEX ULTRA GRAY" so, from looking at a package of this, I could most reasonably use the ultra blue, the ultra copper or this ultra gray stuff....basically what, from what I understand, I need is something with good oil resistance properties....and all these blue, copper and gray stuff offer this. |

Generally all the 'grey' sealants are a lot more robust and stiffer than blacks and blues and reds |
