Hey guys. I just recently bought a Baleno to do a conversion into my sierra. first of all tho i'm going to teach my sister how to drive. As it turns out the water pump needs replacing. So i've got a new pump and went to put it in and its about 30 - 40mm off the side wall and i just cant get to about 3 of the bolts holding it on. There is air con and power steering pipe passing around this area as well making at an absolute prick and reminding me why i love my sierra so much lol. I was wondering if it would be easier to undo some engine mounts and jack the motor up a little to get to it all. Or if any of you guys know an easier way could you please share |

Jacking the engine up could give you enough room. You are fitting a new timing belt as well aren't you? |

nope. it just had the timing belt done 2 weeks ago and they didn't do it then so i guess it gave up due to karma =S lol . i only just bought it 2 days ago and thats all it needs. just had a new clutch & bearings done and gearbox bearings done too. bit of a bargin really. |

Have you removed the access panel that allows you to get in around the lower crankshaft pulley? I don't remember too much about that, I'll try and have a look at it when I get home. |

is the access pannel the cam belt cover because i'm just about to pull off the crank pully to get the cover off. lol |

take the wheel off that's on the side of the car your working on and remove the plastic or acces cover behind it i assume, fwd = access nightmare |
