Anyone know of a better option than what the H20 has?
I need more coils for my Vitara (again :x ).
The bloody thing eats coils! They keep shorting out past the edge of the rubber boot half way up the stalk.
I've put 3 in already and I need another 4 now. I'm starting to get a bit annoyed with it!!
Suzuki want drug money for new coils and wreckers 2nd hand coils don't last long, so is there another option out there??? Or a cheap source of new coils?

They are a 2 pin plug and the numbers on the coils are 33410-77E1

you can get replacement probes if it's that part that is failing rather than the actual coil pack it self.

http://www.suzistore.com.au/shopexd.asp?id=1374

royce found them for $11 each somewhere.

Cheers Atari.
Those are for the later model coils and are different to the ones I got.
They are the 3 pin coils. Mine are 2 pin.

That place looks good though. Will have a hunt through their listings and see what they have.

what do the probes look like on the 2 pin coil packs, do they have a thin solid stem about an inch long then it flares out to the rubber spark plug boot?

if so the ones in the link will replace them, my j20a SV420 had the early type & i had them slowly fail one by one over time & they've since been replaced with the ones from suzuki store.

Yeah they do look like that Atari.
So those in that link fit OK then do they?
Sweet might give them a try.

How do they come apart?

yep, they separate at the top seal section in this pic & the base of the actual coil. it's a barbed fitting on the coil end with a spring in the probe to make contact, just give it a bit of a tug. 8O

thats one of my originals & i guess they're the same as yours? over time they got replaced with the ones from suzukistore & they're going strong. i've tried looking for royce's link again, but i can't find it at the moment. Tridon also have a listing for them.

I've found the coils on the Triton web page and have emailed for further info and prices.
Tried to find them on the Rockauto site but they only listed spark plugs or HT lead set. These don't have leads. So don't know what they've listed there.
Do you have a direct link to the part royce? Cheers
