Post subject:  Snapped axle or dodgy hub?
Hey guys, had my zook on its side yesterday to do some welding (as I tend to drop slag on my face when I weld upside down :crazy: )
and I decided to lock the FR hub in and spin the wheel.

The problem was that the flange on the diff didn't spin, so I'm wondering whether I would be able to tell if its the locking hub not playing
the game, or if the previous owners managed to snap an axle...
When I lock in the front left hub everything seems to work fine, I just want to avoid pulling everything apart if I don't have to.

I had a quick forum search, couldn't find too much, but to be honest I don't know what to look for.

It was running reduction gears, 1.3L engine and 31's when I got it.

It may just be spinning the spider gears if only one side is locked. If you lock both sides then spin the flange they should both turn

My bet would be locking hub, just pull it off and give it a clean/grease up and see how you go

Just went and lifted the front and locked both hubs, worked as they should :oops:
