When timing a g13b the manual says to get No4 on TDC. I thought all engines were timed on No1 TDC?

when doing cam timing both #1 and #4 will be at top dead centre , but #1 will be on the exhaust stroke , and #4 will be at the finish of the compression stroke , ready for the power stroke.

if you set the timing marks up per the book , if you wind the crank one revolution this will now put #1 on the compression stroke/ combustion power stroke
