Hey guys does any one no of a thread that chats about roof mounted spot lights???? On a side note I changed all the lights in the dash last night to Blue LED's so so easy and only cost 8 bucks. If you have ever thought about it I say do it quite happy with the result! Brett |

Just the best way to do it. Obviously Ill have to run the cables from the roof down and dont really know the best way to attach it. |

My mate had them on his hilux so mighr be a bit different but he ran his wires down inside one off his door seals which was hollow then into his engine bay can look pretty tidy if you can do it that way |

If it's how to run the cables that you want to know about then check out Moag's Jimny. He has put a solar panel on his roof racks and ran the cable through a small hole near the roof racks. There are some pics and a bit of info in his build thread. - Tim. |

What about following the roof bar down the back and through the grommet in the back door area? I am thinking about mounting roof lights/UHF antenna and will go this route as I think it would look neater. |

Brett, have you got a front bar? If you do - I would piss off the dodgy aerial (it will break eventually anyway) and run good quality twin core double insulated cable through the hole. Attach the earth under the dash to some bare metal. Before you pull out the aerial - attach some cord to the aerial wire so your got something to drag your spotlight wires through. You could also remove the plastic aerial attachment with a bit of heat to the metal bit, drill it out and fit a neat rubber grommet for that slick look. Oh and get a decent radio aerial!! |

Why oh why does Suzuki supply such crap quality radio aerials???? My one is practically useless unless extended fully but then ends up bent. |
