Just spoke to Suzuki about a genuine CV. The CV joint on its own is over $500 and a complete shaft with CV's is over $1000 +gst.
Think i might just stock up on some 2nd hand ones.

Does anyone make stronger aftermarket CV's for the 98-05 GV? Im guessing it gonna be a regular thing ill break now that its Twin locked. |

Was twin air locked in my 2000 GV for a LONGGGGGGGGG time and never did a CV. I don't know any other company that make stronger CV's. |

Ur only choice is custom at the moment as lux ones would be to short in a gv I would think as they fit 1.6 vits Maybe 100 series could be made to fit Porche cv would be the go as you can rebuild them and there designed to run on bigger angle with huge amounts of power |

Would it be easier to make that part stronger or what about getting some CV's cryo frozen...thats ment to toughen things up alot...... |

A lot of the big power tube buggies running bike engines use the Porche 930 CV's as they take ridiculous power as GBW said. |

I don't think heat treating will make much difference The problem is that we keep looking for down travel . At full extention the struts are near the limit add some hard lock and there almost binding . Big tires and right foot and bang it's gone .adjusting steering stops helps but at the end of the day there operating outside of wat there designed to do. U need something that is designed to run on bigger angle and made for more power |

A guy on Zulu world is looking a building 12" travel kit for vits He's going to use the 930 cv and a custom strut made from a 2" remote res shock where the body becomes the shaft It will be about 2.5" wider a side |

He kept busting cvs in his civic This setup has me interested........would be an easy tracktracl side fix if they were bolt in unis. After some ringing around i found a place that say they can make stronger unis and shafts. He needs your shafts and will rebuild them with stronger Uni's and longer shafts for $250 each side. tempting but might ask about some more.....uni shafts sound the go. |

A tompson cupling would be the go All the dana's use them intead of cv's on solid axles, but, The uni may bind up for ifs when steering and flexing. It will be ok for a civic, as they dont move much. Why are you blowing cv's? Is the diff dropped to suit? Thanks for mentioning the thompson coupling. Never seen them before.
