Hey just been looking the extended brake lines on ebay from outdoorauto.

And was just wondering if anyone else with a jimny has brought these or if they got em cheaper at there local joints? there after $180.00 on ebay for a set for the jimny.

Getting my "proper" lift kit in 2 months, And want to get the lines in first.

Got the my line's for $100 and there the same as the ODA lines...but the rear one is not long enough any more

I got mine made to spec and have never had a drama. I don't think thy were that expensive either. Sourced from a brake specialist I think.

Got mine from Jimnybits in the uk. Were delivered in just over a week to gold coast, and cost about 120 i think.

Go to a brake shop or local hydraulic shop and get them made. Can be legally done. I used to get my lines made this way.

But remember the longer the RUBBER brake line the more the pedal will travel. Some of the energy you put into the pedal will be lost in the slight expansion of the rubber hose.

yes its not much, but when you basically double the rubber bits on a car (rear and two fronts doubled in length) then it will add up.

This is why people offer stainless steel braided hoses as an option too.

lol hang on let me rephrase that,

Does anyone know what extra length they got over the ome lines. You just go up with your lift say, 2" lift = 2" longer lines

i got my long lines from jimnybits, cheap as hell and really decent quality. i have a 75mm lift and plenty of slack.

I got the Jimny bits lines. Delivered in 2 weeks from the UK for about AUD100. I am having them fitted tomorrow. They are stainless steel braided lines. Look well made. Will find out tomorrow what the brake guy says.

The add says they are Australian made so tell us the name of the store so we can all get them cheaper locally
