Seeking front Strut mounts for my 04. Suzuki want $200 EACH!!!!!

Can source them from America- Monroe, Westar, Kyb seem to make them and cost approx $50-70 each.

Anyone know where to source them in Australia and has anyone had firsthand experience with any of these products.

Cheers.

I will more then likely get them from US. Rang Monroe Australia as the Yanks have one. Not available in Australia so the tech dude from Monroe stated.

Original Equipment Manufacturer. Original Manufactuer Equipment

Given I stated that I was unable to source an Australian supplier I'm unsure as to why anyone would think Old Man Emu....anyhow....

Essentially other than factory supplied unable to source this part inside Australia.

Not to worry, here's hoping they arrive soon as car is essentially unable to be driven at the moment.

Glad you asked as i have no idea. My mechanic suggested I look into sourcing them from the US. I did they research, showed him the ones I found and settled on Monroe. He sells and fits Bilstiens and my vehicle runs these with dobinsons springs.

so you're running a stock length strut with a lifted spring, seems like a waste of time & money to me.

I think he is talking about the top strut mount and not the strut itself.

ie. - http://www.carpartsdiscount.com/auto/pa ... 593=123270

The info I found on the monroe strut mates was just that its a rubber boot/dampener and not an actual new mount as per the KYB one above? Or did you find a version which does include the complete new mount?

ahhh cool strut tops.

I doubt that Old Man Emu do a replacement strut top, I'd say for $400 they were a pair of struts

Thnx for the constructive feedback not sure what contribution you've made to the topic heading??
But given the difference in performance both these modifications made, well worth the expense inmo....but we will have agree to disagree.

Mechanic is also a mate I went to school with so whilst he is a business man first and foremost, the changes he has suggested so far have been on the money. I've also been able to access his workshop and plan on adding a bash plate sometime next year, all going well. And I think the bilstein are long travel struts but happy to be corrected.

sorry, trying to work & surf az at the same time doesn't help & i missed your post about running bilstein's... when you mentioned OME, KYB, Monroe & OEM I figured you were talking about sourcing struts & the only struts out of that list that are extended length were the OME/ARB ones.
