Hi guys
ive recently gotten a 99' GV 3 door, and can't figure out how to flatten the rear seats. Do you have to remove the carpet from the back or something?
It must be something so simple im missing.

I can fold them forward using the knobs at the top, and remove the headrests, but not sure how to bring them up like i did in my 1991 LWB Vitara

I'll feel stupid if it isnt even possible but i can see the mechanism at the front of the seat to allow it to fold

thanks

In the 5 door gv - and im guessing the 3 door is the same, you need to flip the base forward first.

Near the seat belt buckles there should be a little black tab, just grab that and then pull up. The base will flip forwards and up against the driver and passenger seats.

If you cant find the tabs, just stick your hand down there and pull the base up.
Then fold the backrest forwards
