| Post subject: | two different slines on sierra diff flanges? |
i have been trying to put my air lockers together this weekend with 4.8 diff gears from a vitara. I am having a massive amount of trouble with the diff flanges. So far i have pulled apart 6 diffs with WT style flanges on them and only 2 of the 5 will slide onto the pinion. The others will press on and off but when you look at the wear pattern on the splines it seems they are too tall to properly fit in the flange. Does any one know if the early WT ones were different to the coily and vitara flanges?? any one had similar issues? |

I found there were two different types of WT splines. One had a more triangle shaped spline like the NT flanges and one had a more square shape. http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... ion+spline |

Can you use the Vit flange that was bolted to the pinion originally? |
