ok so i have been shopping a fair bit for jimnys atm and something i want is Cruse Control, however i have only scene one jim with this! is there any relatively easy way to add things such as cc to a jim without it, as in a plug and play deal?? and can you buy the factory parts?? im guessing jim would need a module and the stork with switches on it? Take your time when looking and one with what you want and cruise control will come by. |

factory cruse will always work better and integrate better than an after market one. I opted for an after market cruse control system back when i bought my GV new many years ago and it was not a cheap one, i installed it correctly my self and it was a load of shit !! the switch gear was flimsy and fell apart and after long periods of using the cruse control and when a steeper than normal hill was met it would shut off shop around and get one with the factory options that you want, would like to think the later M series jimny's would have a better chance of having cruse control. |

google is your friend, pretty much every cruse control unit in repco, autobarn is a one unit fit's all brands ect they use the VSS signal for reference or the really cheap ones use a magnet tip tied to the tailshaft with a dodgy bracket with the pickup, then supply w universal bracket to mount on the throttle for the cruse control cable and then you usually need to get a vacuum supply for it. |
