Can't you just change the tow hitch?, a standard type is about $30 from most car stores. At least that way you can hook up any trailer.

Thanks for the replies but the 50mm ball is too small, jumps around everywhere. Its a dedicated trailer,i can't change anything on it, long story but i just need a 2" ball,i can get one from the States but i have to have it by next W/end or it will be going on the back of a truck.

A trailer hitch is relativily easy to replace, some can be welded in place, So what's the long story that you need a 2" ball?

Perhaps try ARK as they are on of australia's main distributor for trailer parts and accessories.

Or google trailer parts suppliers, Just a quicky I found this company.

2" is 50.8mm..

If its jumping around on a 50mm Its going to jump around on a 50.8mm..

Thanks again for all the replies,i'll follow up on those links buzbox.

Thats a point Bluesuzy,i tried the 50mm and its at a dangerous level the amount of movement, the owner of the trailer told me it 2" USA standard but its been sitting on a property for 20 years so it may be 2+ inches, more dramas.
