my gv was leaking oil so i pulled the motor out and changed the oil pump seal, and put it back in and wired it all back up, but when i went to start it it started idling strange so i took it for a ecu reset run only to find it goes away at half throttle, its like it was never there but back down to idle it would run like the plugs were dead so i changed the pugs and it still was there so i thought i wonder if the coils are playing up so i tested them only to find when you disconect them the motor wouldnt change so i thought yup coils. so i went and bought all new coils only to find that it was still there so i thought ill see my mechanic and see what he thinks. My mechanic had it for while and after changing every sensor and even the ecu the thing still does it sensors changed tps 02 sensors crank angle sensor water temp sensor for the hell of it idle control thingy airflow meter cleaned ecu So if any body out there can help me give me a yell or pm me thanks |

I recently had an intermittent fuel injector problem (on a different type of engine) and after putting everything back together, engine ran like a POS. Worked on open throttle, horrible at idle, found a leaking vacuum pipe which fixed it. Have you tested each coil individually with its spark plug to confirm igntion (try to do it with spark plug removed from cylinder and earthed to engine with vice grips or similar - connected to its normal wiring - you'll at least see it working or not) ? My intermittent fuel injector was internally open circuit, and would run sometimes (probably depending on expansion due to heat making it get electrical contact). I would probably look for a vacuum leak first, then confirm ignition, then the other things - replug wiring harness connectors (if you suspect an injector, you can measure resistance of injector coils with an ohm meter). Good luck...... Regards Scott |

check that none of the connectors have a pin damaged or backed out. |

also checked for vacuum leaks and its all good even checked alternator to see if i had a power drop on idle Also checked each coil for spark and also checked injectors with anode and all good |

It appears to have weak spark at idle.... |

Also checked each coil for spark and also checked injectors with anode and all good how does an anode test a fuel injector ? will it still run ok at open throttle ? or is it always misfiring now ? does engine temp change anything ? |

when i unplug the injectors the idle changes i was meant to say...The anode was to check the wiring on full throttle i runs fine, it only does it until half throttle then goes away like it was never there... hot or cold it still does it The list of things checked are ecu afm tps isc egr both 02 sensors checked and resealed manifolds ect sensor replaced spark plugs checked injectors and loom checked engine earths checked alt checked at battery Still does it who ever gives me $2500 unregested(or you supply roadie)can pick it up 295000 on the clock things that are good on it brand new 225x75x16 at tyres interior all clean no rips apart from one burn mark in the the seat alloy wheels steel front diff 2inch lovells springs and shocks springs blocks alloy bull bay (tjm) cvs redone diff oils changed new rear bearings new ffront bearings new brake shoes in the box (forgot i had them custom dash skins pm me |

You missed two sensors - CMP - cam position sensor, on the back of the cylinder head (left bank) - and - CKP - crank position sensor, down by the crank pulley - my guess would be one of those two (CKP most likely), based on the fact that it runs well above half throttle. |
