Just for all those guys running a calmini kit in their vits on stock rims. i am one of them i have a set of 235 75 15 on stock rims with camber bolts and can only get 5degs of pos camber on the front. I put my muddies on the other day 235 75 15 on 15 by 7 -13 and now i have neg camber (with out touching camber bolts) i was shocked at how much difference it made the car drive like a completely different car so much better that i am going to chase up a set of rims for my road tyres. so when calmini say it is designed for -13 rims they mean it. the front used to way harder than the back but now it is matched more even which makes the car feel more balanced on and off road. |

Does that mean the extra offset off the rims is causing more leverage on components making more camber?? |

The increased leverage effectively lowers the spring rate which pulls the camber into spec Just more suspension fail calmini. Steve |

Steve if you were to build control arms to maximize lift and travel, how would you do this without running into the inherent camber issues of IFS? |

That's no probs Atari. How would it be done using a single lower control arm, such as Calminis and still use the strut as the top mount point. Can't be done without a pivot point on the lower strut mount. Any design that utilizes this setup is going to run into camber issues somewhere in the total travel whether it be negative camber at full droop or positive under load/compressed. |

Another reason they say the kit is made for a minimum size tyre of 30". |
