Hey Guys,

My auto hubs on my Suzie gave up the ghost half way up a hill.....

Has anyone installed these AVM hubs from Jimny Bits?

http://www.jimnybits.co.uk/shop/jimny/j ... od_33.html

I know heaps of people do the sierra hubs mod, but I can't really be buggered doing that haha!

Also to the fellas that have these... how much did they smack ya for postage?

Cheers.

BenT in the business section sells the rings
I bought a kit, was about $60 I think.
Much cheaper then new hubs, and very easy to install

Theres no big different between the avm hubs nd Sierra hubs. You are just puting a spacer ring between the hub nd spindle and putting the bolts in.
If you wanna buy the hubs it will save you 1min per hub of mucking around.
Mine works perfectly fine so far.

If you want the rings pm benT http://www.auszookers.com/index.php?nam ... rofile=625

plus the ability to find a spare pretty much anywhere.... the internal parts are shared with most japanese 4wds fitted with AISIN FWH's, where as with the AVM hubs are a bit of an oddball

Man who woulda thought it'd be so difficult to get the correct tool!

I've looked everywhere for a T10 E-Torx Socket.... and NO one stocks them.

I can buy a pack of 10 from Bunnings, but really don't wanna do that.

I've tried, repco, autopro, supercheap, bunnings and total tools.... no luck.

Any suggestions?

Im getting some sierra hubs from fatzook....

i got a set of sierra hubs from a local wrecker and got the spacers made up by an engineering shop, $30ish from memory. i have had no problems with them and its a piss easy conversion. dont forget you will need new bolts as the jimny ones are to short, they need to be about 15mm longer.

as for the socket my mechanic lent me one and i then went out and got a cheap set from autoone about a week later, never used it tho lol.
