Hey guys and girls...

So my problem is just this...

Put the new front diff in yadda yadda yadda... No problems there

Then *insert dramatic music here* came the test drive...

Placed in 4wd high go for a spin down the block. under
Acceleration front end lifts up and the back end Boggs down
The only thing I can think of is that the diff ratio is wrong...

But... I am sure the wrecker counted the teeth right not only
In front of me but imam sure As hell I counted them right...
8 teeth on pinion 41 on the crown... Any ideas???

jack the back up & check the rear diff ratio... maybe you don't have 512's. 8O

did you check the one that came out?

Shit bugger bitch bum... Just counted the output of the cv's vs drive shaft... By the look of it now I have roughly a 4.9 ratio... Will call the wrecker 2morro but I'm not holding my breath... Does anyone have another 5.125 center with 26 spline axles???

i ran a 22 spline inner for a year or more on 31's before building up the steel diff with the RD88 (26spline) locker, never broke it but i'm not a throttle jockey.

Ok so the finger got pulled out of my butt

And I ripped the front diff out to find that it is the right ratio diff 41 teeth on the crown wheel an 8 teeth on the pinion...

So to keep you all up to date on what's been done...
I fixed the manual locking hub. Replaced the diff. And now the drive line loads up in 4wd.

...help

Post subject:  Re: Heellpp!?!?

what ratio was the one you broke?

EDIT: just saw that you've pulled the rear diff to find it was also 512:1

are you running the same size tyres front & back? :?

Hey guys you physically cant put the front diff upside down due to the mount on the pinion.

Definitely got the same size tyres front and back 31x11.5r15
