Hi all

I am fairly keen on getting 30" m/t for my Jimny.

Who here has them fitted?

How much suspension or body lift did you need? (I plan on going minimum i can)

What offset rims did you use?

How much guard chopping?

Cheers and thanks for your help

Yep if your looking at the minimum or smallest lift to fit 30's then 2" and the big jimny guard chop will work fine! yess gears :D:D

Thanks guys

I was going Jimny bits 75mm lift so thats good.

-13 offset will push the wheels out fairly wide?

A nother one for gearing. I have 215's and it has horrible bottom end torque.
I'm starting to get sick of doing 60km up a hill
Top end speed on the highway is very good though.
So I can't imagine what 30's would be like with stock gearing.

surely there is a market for different gears for the Jimny. (less than 20%) (and without swapping anything)

You could "give" them to me and I could make a "donation" to you.

In all seriousness though, small business gets screwed...over and over again.

15x7 with -13 offset wont stick out "that much" not enough to warrant the need for flares. Youll be fine with standard flares.

I'm sure there is a way we can get around it...

There would/is/will be enough orders.

Yeah i must say was was watching the Twisted4x4 thread regularly waiting for the announcement that the diff gears were ready. Was very sad when i herd the news.....Hopefully you can find a way to distribute them gears>

If i run 20% reduction with 30's what are my RPM going to be a 110kph? I run a 2010 vvt Jim.

What year is your jimny?

Edit: Just seen 2010 ...so you would be doing just over 4000rpm...

You could drop a few RPM of that by putting 4.11 ring&pinon diff gear's in....

Ok....so from what I can gather my Jim has 4.3 r/p gears in the diff and early model Jim's had 4.1s which would drop the rpms a bit. Couple of questions (maybe silly)

Do I need front and rear r/p or just rear?

Can I buy these new or do I have to hunt 2nd hand ones?

How much are they?

Sorry the ratio is actually 4.09 not 4.11. You need front&rear. You have to get second hand ones...but there cheap. The hard part is to fund a rear 4.09 r&p cus all the seirra guys want them
