I have a 95 sierra and slow speed around the farm is handy.
Is driving in 4lo with the hubs in free a problem?

its fine to use lowrange with the hubs unlocked. i use 2wd low when reversing trailers makes it a lot easier.

I've given my 10 year old daughter a couple of driving lessons out the bush and low range is a lot less scary, never realized I don't have to chuck the hubs in. Good shit.

i used to use it when driving to tafe on the freeway in peak hour traffic =) 5th maxed out around 60km/hr so i didnt have to put it in high range till i got to the lights at the end of the off ramp. Saved me using the clutch all the time. lol

I used low in peak hour bumper to bumper traffic.
lots of times with my Sierra.

Don't do it in the Vit,
cos with rockmonster t-case gears,
I couldn't reach the speed of the rest of the traffic :)

I taught my daughter how to drive in the car park at work in Low ratio 2wd. Took a lot of the terror out of it. She's got her full license now and has moved to a Datsun 280Z. Got a 92 Escudo for sale. Anyone coming to NZ for a Christmas holiday? Perfect for touring NZ:)
