Went up to lithgow today for a bit of fun. driving in mud and up hills. my sierra now feels really slow off the mark. like the engine doesn't want to rev up as quick. i rarely used 5th gear on the way home. both my mate with a hilux has got the same problem. i dont have breathers could there be mud in the diffs? or another problem? |

Mud in the diffs wouldnt do it. Id guess, If you went through mud/water, Check your spark plug holes. Check/clean all sensors Check oil Make sure throttle body moves nice Clean air filter, could be water in it Water in your tank, Depends how deep you went. |

have you cleaned off all the mud yet? could just be adding a heap of extra weight to the car... other than that, id say dodgy fuel/blocked air filter if its both you and your mate same issue. |

hey tim! the engine seems to be running ok , its not sputtering or missing. its just slowwwww. like as if its restricted or something. checked the intake and it was dry, dropped the oil and put new stuff in. didnt really go that deep it the water. the deepest i got stuck in wasnt even up to my doors. um did a run along the powerlines and went to those old jail ruins. it was my first time out after doing my conversion |

i drove home topless and with 10psi less in my tyres but was still running around 25-30psi and i had to drop back to second to go uphills. i doubt anyone else would be stupid enough to do freek out and not realise what it was like me but i guess its a newby soft top/ gutless heap of crap owners mistake! 70kmh from home at sun set flat out doing 50kmh! then looking up to see rain clouds form and having no roof! i was cacking my dacks! and ofcourse being a resistance thing it would rev freely in neutral. have u checked things like that (i know it sounds silly) |

Softtop off doesnt make a difference in my car. But low tyre pressures does. |

Yeh I refilled the tires and put the roof back on. its more gutless down low. like taking off from a set of lights I almost have to feather the clutch to get it going. almost as if the handbrake is on. I don't think its a driveline problem tho because the revs are slow even in neutral |

Is mud jammed up exhaust?? It can happen, especially if you have to reverse in mud. |

Yeah I was going to say check the exhaust. Had a mate crush his exhaust on a rock. Only knew because of the lack of power. |
