I have a corolla with a 4afe engine. I have searched and only found 4age fit ups. So was wondering if anyone has any info on doing this conversion. Before you bag the idea, the car cost me nothing and then engine is in good nick. I need to know what gearbox would I need or if there was an adapter to a zook box available.

Most of this is speculation
will need custom engine and gearbox mounta
use a toyota gearbox, which is longer than suzuki
therefore transfer needs to move back, hence changing all the drive shaft length
will also need a custom jackshaft

to be honest it really is alot of work

just looked at google....is it an east west setup from a fwd...hence even more harder?

commy v6 would be a better choice, at least it's north/south.

unfortunately it is east west hence the needing of a gearbox. I think the box I need is a t50 from a ae71 but not sure. Where can I get custom shafts from in SEQ. Just remember everything else is free so cost will be low and not forgetting the power will be more then a g16

Cost will be huge, 4age has dissy out the side, 4afe has it out what will be the rear
not to mention where the throttle body is

Just cause the big heavy part is cheap doesnt make a conversion cheap, its why people pay so much for a G16, cause the add on costs to fit it are next to none.

Sell it for what you can, put it towards an easy to fit engine

To fit a g16 I would have to spend between 1500 and 2500 according to this forum. So far for the 4afe I need a gearbox or an adapter made and exhaust and maybe some other fab work. How much lighter is the G16?

maybe some other fab work?

are you understanding the dissy is going to be inside the car in the area the heater currently takes up?
I cant entirely remember but he throttle body will be pointing at the master cylinder

The cable T50 box is also super rare I believe

Your right on both accounts thanks Royce. Looks like the dizzy would just hit or maybe 5mil to spare. The throttle body and the manifold would needs some modifying or remanufacture.
