The bearings in my Transfer case are knackered. Mr Suzuki is putting together a quote to repair it but I'm sure it will knock the stuffing out of me financially. Low Range have a special on at the mo and if possible I could get an overhaul kit from them. Just want to know if anyone here knows if the T-case on these things are super special and if possible what the specs are.

How good is the special?? Weaves, our resident bearing god would most definately know what is required. He always does excellent prices for AZ members 8)

Even local bearing places are very price compareable. Suprisingly..

Thanks for pointing me in a good direction guys. I'd still like to know if I have a different T-case than the 1600s or the GV one. Or perhaps all Vitara ones are the same? With the chain drive its probably out of my ability to DIY.

Anyone help me on this? Really just want to know if the G16 series gearbox/T-cases are the same. A friend offered me a 1600 one at club night yesterday and I'd like to know if its going to swap in.
