Post subject:  vitara coil wiring question

In the process of a carby to EFI conversion of an 89 Vitara.
Went to connect up the coil and connected to the bolt is this black square thing with two wires coming off it.
Both wires are black with no markings but the two it connects to from the loom are black, but one has a white line.
What is this thing?
And is it polarity sensitive, if so, which wire goes where?
Thanks :)

Radio suppressor I think.
If both wires are black then it doesn't matter which way you connect them.

Correct in a way, it's used to keep the coil quite so the ecu can't hear it....

That lil black thing with the white plug..... don't lose that....
